How many km are included per month?

The daily allowance of standard kilometres is pooled across the month, so thirty days gives you thirty times that figure to use as you like. Extra kilometres beyond the pool are OMR 0.100 each. If you know you will drive more, add 50 km a day for OMR 0.500 or 100 km a day for OMR 1.000 when you request, which is cheaper than paying per kilometre later.

Yes. A multi-month agreement is billed month by month: the first month is held on your card once we confirm, and each following month is charged at the start of that month. The OMR 100 deposit is held once, at handover, and released after the final return. All amounts are in Omani rial with 5% VAT shown separately on each invoice.

Can I swap the car during the rental?

Yes. If your needs change, ask on WhatsApp and we re-quote for the new class from the date of the swap, subject to a suitable car being free in Salalah. We also bring a replacement when the car is due for servicing or if it develops a fault, so you are not without transport. Swaps for servicing or faults are free; a swap to a different class changes the monthly rate.

Is a monthly rental cheaper than 4 weekly rentals?

Yes, by a wide margin. Weekly rentals are priced from the daily rate; a monthly rate is a single negotiated figure for the whole period and sits well below thirty daily rates for the same car. You also get pooled kilometres, servicing with a replacement car, and one deposit for the whole stay. The exact saving depends on the car and the season, so request a quote with your dates.

Who rents monthly (contractors, Indian expats, winter long-stays)

Three kinds of customer take a car for a month or more in Salalah. Contractors and project staff on the port, the free zone and the airport who need a car from the day they land until the posting ends. Expat families, many of them from India, who are settling in before they buy or whose own car is off the road. And winter long-stays: Europeans who rent an apartment at Hawana or along the beach from December to March and want a car in the drive rather than a taxi number. The same fleet serves all three, and a monthly rental is quoted rather than priced online.

What is included (km, servicing, swap, insurance)

Kilometres: standard kilometres per day, pooled across the month, so a quiet week and a trip to Muscat average out. Beyond the allowance, extra kilometres are OMR 0.100 each, or add 50 km a day for OMR 0.500 or 100 km a day for OMR 1.000 at the start.
Insurance: Basic cover with an excess of OMR 150 is included. Extended at OMR 10 per day lowers it to OMR 100; Adventurer at OMR 15 per day removes it. Off-road driving is permitted only in 4WD cars.
Servicing: routine servicing is on us. When the car is due, we bring a replacement to you and take the car in; you lose no days.
Roadside assistance: 24/7 anywhere in Oman.
Deposit: OMR 100, held on a card in the driver's name and released after the final return.
Not included: fuel, traffic fines, and driving into the UAE, which is only possible on a UAE-start booking.

Documents for residents vs visitors

Oman residents: your Omani driving licence or a GCC licence accepted in Oman (GCC licences are accepted for GCC residents), your resident card, and a card in the driver's name for the deposit.

Visitors: your home driving licence with an International Driving Permit, your passport, and a card in the driver's name for the deposit. Visitors on a long stay should check how long their home licence remains valid for driving in Oman; the rule is set by the Royal Oman Police, not by us.

All drivers must be at least 23. Additional drivers: additional drivers must be registered with us and meet the same requirements.
